A Fumé Blanc refers to a Sauvignon Blanc that has been fermented and/or aged in oak. As such, Fumé Blanc retains much of the varieties fruit character and crisp acidity but with a riper fruit profile and more complex and subtle toastiness and creaminess from the oak influence. This wine is very lightly oaked.
