The aromatics open with blackcurrant, rich cherry, chocolate covered blueberries, and allspice. The palate preserves a great degree of elegance but is decidedly on the heavier side of medium bodied. Tannins are super silky partly due to 24 months of elevage in barrel, giving this Alexander Valley Cabernet the proper amount of time needed to settle itself down. The finish pushes pert acidity, more fine grain tannin, and a lovely berry fruit profile that lingers.
